Services tailored to your learning profile
We personalize each of our services to fit your learning needs.
-
Your unique learning profile
-
What challenges you face while learning
-
How to overcome those challenges
In addition to the academic skills and strategies developed each session, the self-knowledge you will gain sets you up to advocate for your own needs. Advocacy is at the heart of what Organized Minds offers you. Advocacy acknowledges and validates your learning challenges. Advocacy empowers you to ask for what you need to succeed.
How does it work?
Our sessions take place online with a trained one-on-one coach. We recommend at least one hour per week. Longer sessions are ideal near deadlines, exams, and other busy times of term. Consider booking longer recurring sessions if you want to include multiple services.
It takes ongoing, collaborative work to discover your learning profile, find solutions for your learning challenges, and advocate for your learning needs. You can expect the best results when you keep an open mind and participate in our process. Let Organized Minds help you along the way.
Why it works:
-
Our strategies are individualized, recognizing that the root cause of struggles is unique to each person, and therefore, so is the solution
-
Tailoring strategies to the client's specific learning style improves the effectiveness of techniques like note-taking organization or research methods
-
By helping clients connect with their institution, they leverage existing support structures designed to accommodate diverse learning needs
-
Strategies that make work simpler, more fun, and work for the student make tasks less daunting and encourages initiation and completion
-
Teaching clients to focus on key information, signaled by instructors, reduces the burden of trying to capture everything
-
Advocacy is presented as something that acknowledges and validates challenges, giving clients the power to ask for what they need to succeed
