Campus Services Support
How to use your post-secondary institution.
Your instructors will try to accommodate your learning profile only if they know what you need. But you must already know what that is for yourself. Your instructors won’t discover it for you.
All of our services help you identify your learning profile and the ideal conditions you’ll need for academic success. Your institution also offers services that can further support your learning profile. We can help you take advantage of these campus services.
How can your campus services benefit you?
Most post-secondary institutions offer services to support education outside class hours, to accommodate special learning needs, and to promote accessibility:
Instructor office hours.
Professional or volunteer note takers.
Workshops and other resources for improving writing.
Workshops and other resources for aiding time management.
Academic accommodations such as reduced workloads, extensions for assignments, and special permissions for electronic devices during class time.
Academic strategists.
Subsidies for Academic Strategies
Your institution may offer you subsidies for our Academic Strategies service. Official ADHD diagnosis usually qualify our funding. Contact us for more information, and we can point you in the right direction or even help you access funding.
How do we connect you with your campus services?
We offer a variety of services that help you overcome learning challenges and take control of your education experience. During sessions for these services, we continually assess your unique learning profile. Based on this assessment, we might recommend that you also take advantage of specific services offered by your institution:
We identify and suggest academic accommodations or services that benefit you and your learning style:
accommodations you are entitled to.
accommodations or services you can request.
Whether you feel unsure, unmotivated, or uncomfortable about asking for aid, we help you connect with your institution to request and implement what you need.
We show you how to plan for accommodations:
anticipating when to ask so that there is enough time to implement accommodations.
knowing how to ask so that your requests are well-received and likely to be approved by your institution and instructors.
We help you with any required paperwork.
It takes ongoing, collaborative work to discover your learning profile, find solutions for your learning challenges, and advocate for your learning needs. You can expect the best results when you keep an open mind and participate in our process. Let Organized Minds help you along the way.
