Meighan's Story

Meighan’s passion for supporting neurodivergent learners was ignited during her tenure as a high school teacher. Witnessing the unique challenges faced by her students, she recognized
a desperate need for dedicated assistance in this area. This realization led her to transition from teaching to becoming an ADHD coach, where she has spent the past two years specializing in executive function coaching.

Meighan’s journey is deeply personal. Living with dyslexia herself, she understands the frustration and obstacles that come with learning differences. Her own experiences have instilled
in her a profound empathy and a unique perspective, which she brings to her coaching practice.


She believes in the power of neurodivergent brains and is committed to helping her students discover their strengths, build confidence, and achieve autonomy in their learning processes.

Meighan’s primary goal as an ADHD coach is to empower her students. She works diligently to help them understand how their unique brains work, fostering a sense of self-awareness and self-
acceptance. Through her coaching, she provides practical strategies for managing executive function challenges, such as organization, time management, and task prioritization. She believes that with the right support, neurodivergent individuals can thrive academically and personally.

In her two years as an executive function coach, Meighan has seen firsthand the transformative impact of her work. Her students not only improve their academic performance but also gain confidence and independence. She is dedicated to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel understood and valued. Meighan’s dedication to her students extends beyond the classroom. She is passionate about ongoing professional development and continuously seeks to enhance her skills and knowledge. Her commitment to learning and growth ensures that she remains at the forefront of best practices in ADHD coaching.

Meighan holds a BA in English Literature and Classics from Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick. Her strong academic
background, combined with her personal experiences, equips her with the tools to effectively support her students. Meighan’s approach is grounded in understanding and patience, as she
tailors her methods to meet the individual needs and goals of each student.
