Allison's Story

Allison has been a certified teacher in BC since 2006. Her passion is working with students with special needs which lead her to get her Masters of Education specialising in autism and developmental disabilities. Allison is innovative, patient and believes in teaching skills in natural ways to allow students to understand how to apply new skills in their own life. She has worked with many different school districts and collaborated and taught professionals how to write the competency based individualized education plans.

As a person diagnosed with ADHD she can empathize with clients who are anxious, need support in organising and other executive functioning tasks. She can relate to struggles and understands that positive reinforcement and persistence can lead to success.

Allison’s primary role will be meeting with potential clients for intake sessions. This role is great for Allison as she loves to ask questions, problem solve, and find creative solutions that are tailored to the needs of each individual. Allison has a small caseload of students she works on executive functioning skills with as she likes to build relationships and support people on their own journey to success.
