Who we work with and how

Organized Minds works with students in grades 6–12 and in university who benefit from non-standard instruction. Such students might experience any of the following:

  • ADHD

  • Dyslexia

  • Autism

  • Giftedness

  • Difficulties with executive functioning

  • High-energy disorganization

  • Other undiagnosed challenges

These experiences often create a gap between imagination, intention, and execution. And that gap frustrates students and families. Alleviating frustrations by creating greater understanding is what we do.

Our process with students in grades 6-12

Organized minds works with students and their families online using Zoom. In exceptional circumstances we occasionally make home visits.

Our process with students in university

We meet with you regularly online using Zoom to develop a personalized plan that addresses your individual struggles. We help you understand yourself as a learner:

  • by identifying your strengths

  • by validating and understanding the challenges you face.

This is an important first step in advocating for your needs and to improve your motivation.

We also help you develop strategies to manage procrastination and stress. Strong planning helps reduce feelings of frustration, which in turn addresses avoidance of work.
