Kristen's Story

Kristen is a believer in empowering over enabling. She is resourceful, adaptable and has a passion for learning. She believes that when students are given the necessary support, every student has the chance to be successful. With two bachelor degrees in social sciences, Kristen has an in-depth understanding of the educational system and how to best navigate it.

Kristen has a long history in student support, from teaching English to supporting post-secondary students with varying development disabilities. Kristen is a strong advocate for inclusive education and believes in meeting students where they are at to encourage and teach students to use tools at their disposal. She strives to create a positive, supportive, and an open learning environment for students while enabling their independence and autonomy.

Kristen feels most at home in the mountains, spending her free time skiing, biking, and hiking. She also has limitless cute stories about her rescue dog- Ueli.
